Working Families Australia (WFA) is an offshoot of the Asutralian Workers Party. We are a renewed and refreshed political party that is dedicated to making the lives of Australian workers and their families better.
Guided by common sense, we want a fair go for all Australians; one where workers are paid a decent wage, where they can have a roof over their heads, where their rights are respected and where their children will have a future.
We believe it is possible to create decent local jobs, to make housing more affordable and to give every person the chance to live a happy and fulfilled life. What it takes is for politics to start working for the people again. With less division and more collaboration, anything is possible.
We are tired of the excuses and political bulldust of the major parties. We have reached the point in our country where the political elites need to go and allow ordinary people to have a go; to build a better Australia.

With the failure of the established political parties to act in the best interests of working families. No matter what they say, working people are struggling to make ends meet. They have failed us.

With the failure of governments to secure the basics for people – affordable housing, food & energy. For far too long we have been told these vital issues are “out of the control of government”. This needs to end. No problem should be seen as “too hard” to tackle.

With politicians who are only concerned about their careers. Australia needs authentic voices that demand a better outcome for families. Australia needs real people with real voices.

With successive governments that look after big business first and ordinary people last. We need to remove the burden of tax off the backs of workers and have the rich elite & corporations pay their fair share of tax.

As a micro party we can’t take power, however as we are a truly independent political movement, we can and we will;
• Demand honesty on all levels of government, sustained by law.
• Demand that Australian manufacturing is again protected so it can grow and create real & sustainable permanent jobs.
• Demand that essential services are again Australian owned and controlled, especially energy & communications.
• Demand that we begin reducing imports, to again grow desperately needed opportunities at home.
• Demand that harmful Free Trade deals are abandoned for the betterment of Australia’s economic outlook.
• Demand that we immediately cease selling the very land we stand on to foreign powers and investors, starting with agricultural land.
